The 8 Percent Rule

Here on the CROC Podcast, we constantly discuss the side effects of cancer treatments that complicate and diminish our courageous Survivors’/thriver’s’ journey. Angel and Dr. E will explore the following two podcasts from the patient’s and provider’s perspectives. Please join us!

What Do You Do If You Don’t Like Your Patient

As Oncology health professionals we not only revere and respect our Survivor/Thrivers but we also develop an interconnectedness; and may I dare say feelings of love. But just as we may love our family members, there are times we may not like them or at least not like their behaviors.

It comes as no shock then that we must recognize and prepare for patients whose belligerence, illogic and anger may test our inner strength and risk developing a non therapeutic and potentially bilaterally harmful relationship.

This week Angel and Dr E discuss how to deal with inevitable dynamic.

I Believe In Miracles Part 3

I Believe in Miracles
Part 3

In this final podcast of a triplet series, we are joined by one of our favorite Survivor/Thriver friends and colleagues, Talaya Dendy, who gives us an update on her Cancer Doula practice, podcast, and personal journey, as well as shares a story of hope and inspiration from one of her friends who was told that she only had six months to live; and that was approximately one decade ago!

S4 Ep: 182 I Believe in Miracles

I Believe In Miracles

On our last podcast of 2024, we told the story of Mary, a living, breathing testament that medical miracles do happen.
The response we received was so positive and impactful that we decided that moving forward, the CROC Podcast would forever end the old year with a story of hope and start the new year likewise.
On today’s podcast, we will tell the story of “Dee,” another brave Survivor/Thriver who was told she would be dead in 4 months. The funny thing is, she was told that 3 years ago.
