It’s Only 2 More Days: What’s The Big Deal?
This week Angel and Dr E pull the curtain back once again to give our Survivor/Thrivers a “behind the scenes” glimpse of what goes on inside the black box of treatment preparation.
Between all the intricate complexities and nuances of each case; the horrors of insurance authorization, and finally the prospective presentation to a multidisciplinary Tumor Board which gives the treatment consensus; it is understandable that the plan that we describe to a patient at the time of consultation is rarely the plan the patient will receive.
And there is nothing wrong with that; unless the medical team forgets to circle back to tell the patient!!!!!!

Salute To Service/July 4th Special
This episode is of course dedicated to all of our Survivor/Thrivers who served in the military; but especially to our Vietnam vets who:
- Got shipped off to the other side of the planet to endure unspeakable hardship
- Had to fight an invisible enemy in a war that was unpopular at best, if not downright unnecessary, not winnable, and unsupported by their own countryman
- Came home after all the horror not to parades but protests, shouts of hatred instead of love, spittle instead of kisses, and ingratitude instead of appreciation.
- Last but not least, became ticking cancer time bombs because of exposure to a pesticide their own government proclaimed to be safe
